A Stranger's Plea

Sitting all alone
The brightness so far gone,
In this darkened place.
Fear filling rapidly this encroaching space.

What have I done to deserve this curse?
All was held within provincial verse,
Nothing makes sense to this feeble mind.
The past regrets left eons behind.

The wreckage seen by souls drawn by pitiful accord,
To witness this defiling life of which none should afford.
Silence falls as none in thousands go,
Leaving me to what it is that I know.
