What follows are the 'Rules' of posting to sites powered by FanFicFan. Please note that each site Powered by FanFicFan maintains it's own set of rules. Some sites welcome all writers; other sites are by invitation only; others require admin approval of writers. Additionally, each site may have additional rules. Please check with the site publisher of the site you would like to post to for their specific rules.

Rules for Writers Posting to Sites Powered by FanFicFan

Writings belong to the authors, but there are rules that apply for using our system resources. Please note that if you upload a submission through one of the fan sites, your story will automatically be uploaded to the myFandoms.com fan fiction stories, as well. However, you may 'opt out' if you choose not to have stories automatically included. That 'opt out' is available for each story you post.

Required:

1. Entry title and summary must be rated G for all audience.
2. Entry must be given the proper rating. You will find a help button next to the rating choices to help you determine the rating.

Not Allowed:

Entries not allowed:

1. Non-stories: lists, bloopers, polls, previews, challenges, author notes, messages, etc.
2. One or two liners.
3. Comments inserted in between the flow of a copied story.
4. Stories with non-historical and non-fictional characters: actors, musicians, and etc.

Actions not allowed:

1. Cross posting is the nature of the Internet, and we support that. However, please do not use our service to simply redirect readers somewhere else.
2. Please respect other writers. We do not condone plagiarism and will remove plagiarized stories. Repeated postings of plagiarized stories will result in the author who committed the plagiarism to have their account removed from myFandoms.com, if it was uploaded there. Individal writing sites powered by FanFicFan will determine their own policies for handling repeat plagiarism.
3. Multiple entries of the same material. There can only be one copy of any unique story on the entire site.
4. Rewriting names of characters/locations of one story in order to upload to multiple categories.
5. PLEASE DO NOT POST MESSAGES TO THE ARCHIVE - ONLY writing submissions are allowed. Authors may respond to comments when they post their next piece of fan fiction, or leave a comment to your own work. Thank you!
6. Please do not post spoilers in summary of the story. Thank You.

If an author does not comply with the rules, they will be asked to make the necessary changes. Repeated incidents of non-compliance may result in posting privileges being revoked.

We reserve the right to add/amend the rules, as needed.

RULES FOR READERS

Writers take great risks when they write. It is a personal act, and when publishing their stories to the internet, they take a risk that readers will respond to them in a mature, civilized manner. We have the greatest respect for all writers and ask that readers who are leaving comments and ratings for writers or who post about the writers to our forums respect the following rules:

1. If you do not like an author or his/her story, please be very careful to leave only constructive criticism for him/her whether that is through comments on the story, private messages, forum postings, or email.
2. Please do not make repeated negative comments about the same issue. Once is enough.
3. Please do not use ratings or comments as punishment. Vote once, leave one comment in a mature fashion.
4. Readers are not allowed to post links in their comments to a story.
5. Readers are not allowed to direct other readers to other writers in their comments to a story.
